Our single origins rotate every few months according to seasonality and availability. With this subscription, you will always receive a medium roast single origin coffee, and depending on your delivery frequency, you may receive the same coffee several deliveries in a row until we release a new medium roast single origin. You will receive an email notification ahead of any changes, and if you have a pay-as-you-go subscription, you will be able to skip or cancel your subscription if you aren't interested in the new coffee. Our Current Medium Roast Single Origin

If you subscribe now, this will be the coffee in your first shipment, and will continue to be the coffee you receive in this subscription until we rotate to our next medium roast single origin. Single origin subscribers will be notified by email when the coffee is about to change, and will get all details of the new coffee, with enough time to make any desired changes to their subscription plan.

The Delgado family has farmed coffee on these lands in the fertile highlands of San Juan Sacatepéquez for generations. Once a pine forest, Finca Quequezques (pronounced: keh-kehz-kehz) is now a fully integrated coffee farm and mill operation, allowing the Delgados to maintain a high level of quality control over their output, working both with a focus on tradition and sustainability.

The name “Quequezques” comes from an indigenous name for a broad-leafed plant which grows in these mountain altitudes. It’s a fitting connection between the Delgado family’s business and the land, which with its rich volcanic soil (and temperate microclimate) is generous towards the production of beautiful coffee. And, of course, where coffee is grown in the gentle shade of native forests.

Several varieties, including many heirloom coffees, are grown here under a canopy of shade trees, guided by an agroforestry system established to provide resiliency to shifting climatic patterns and enhance soil richness. Grown in balance with nature, coffee production is not only more reliable, but quality and flavor attributes are also enhanced.

This medium roast coffee has the dessert-like sweetness of candied nuts and caramel, along with the soft, creamy body of your favorite rich ice cream, while balanced by a slightly tart stone fruit sweetness.
